Health and Aged Care

BSA Building Surveyors have a particular expertise in the area of healthcare and residential aged care. Through a vast experience base over many years, this particular and complex field of building surveying has become a specialist area for the practice and our services are much sought after. We have an understanding of the very complex regulations in respect of fire and smoke compartmentation, specialised equipment for both amenity and fire safety and the care of patients and residents in Hospitals and Residential Aged Care.

Through extensive experience with residential aged care we have also developed a real understanding of the Commonwealth Certification Guidelines, extending our expertise to inspections and advice in preparation for actual Commonwealth Assessments. We have assisted clients in ensuring the issues that assessors are looking for are prepared adequately to maximise scoring, focusing on the important pass mark areas. This is a special add on service that very few Building Surveying practices have been able to offer.

BSA Building Surveyors are being sought to undertake change of use assessments on many low care facilities to work towards Ageing in Place assisting clients with improved funding capacity.

Project involvement has included rural and regional health and major city and metropolitan clients on small scale single storey and complex developments.
