About this project

Vue Apartments, located at 6–8 Bellerine Street, Geelong, required the replacement of external cladding to meet updated fire safety standards and regulatory requirements. The project involved significant coordination between consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

Our Involvement

BSA was appointed as the Relevant Building Surveyor for the cladding replacement works. Our responsibilities included:
  • Providing regulatory advice during the design phase
  • Reviewing documentation for compliance with Building Regulations, Building Appeals Board Determinations, and Fire Risk Assessment Reports
  • Preparing a Building Surveying Report (BSR) and providing formal comments on public protection and adjoining property matters
  • Issuing a building permit for the proposed works
  • Conducting mandatory inspections during construction and at completion
  • Reviewing certificates and issuing the Certificate of Final Inspection 3
