Bellerine Street
About this project
41–43 Bellerine Street was proposed as a multi-storey residential development in central Geelong. Although the project did not proceed to construction, the early design phase required careful consideration of compliance, fire safety, and site-specific constraints.
Our Involvement
- Reviewing preliminary design documentation for compliance with the Building Code of Australia and Building Regulations
- Providing advice on fire safety, egress, and accessibility
- Preparing a Building Surveying Report (BSR) to support the client’s due diligence process
- Identifying potential compliance risks and performance solution pathways
Our Approach
We worked closely with the project team to ensure that the proposed design aligned with statutory requirements from the outset. Our proactive approach helped the client assess feasibility and compliance risks before committing to construction, supporting informed decision-making and risk management.
Conclusion
While 41–43 Bellerine Street was not ultimately built, BSA’s early involvement ensured that the project was positioned for success, with compliance and risk considerations addressed at the earliest stage.
