The development required coordination across multiple buildings, consultants and contractors while ensuring compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC) and applicable building regulations.
Our Involvement
BSA was appointed as the Relevant Building Surveyor for the project. Our role included providing regulatory oversight throughout the design, approval and construction phases, including:
- Providing building regulatory advice during the design and documentation stages
- Assessing documentation for compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC) and Building Regulations
- Reviewing performance-based design elements and supporting compliance pathways where required
- Issuing building permits for the proposed development works
- Conducting mandatory inspections throughout construction
- Reviewing compliance documentation, certifications and supporting project completion approvals
- Facilitating the occupancy and approval process at project completion
