About this project
Sacred Heart College Geelong undertook the development of a new Gymnasium & Wellness Centre to support the health, wellbeing, and physical education needs of its school community. The facility was designed as a contemporary, multi‑purpose space that accommodates sporting activities, fitness, and student wellbeing programs, while aligning with the College’s broader campus master planning objectives.
The project forms part of Sacred Heart College’s ongoing investment in high‑quality learning and wellbeing infrastructure, providing students with modern facilities that support both physical development and holistic wellbeing.
Our Involvement
BSA Building Surveyors were engaged as the Relevant Building Surveyor for the Gymnasium & Wellness Centre. Our role included:
- Providing early-stage regulatory and compliance advice during design development
- Issuing the building permit for the works
- Undertaking mandatory inspections throughout construction
- Issuing the occupancy permit upon completion
We worked closely with the project team to ensure the facility achieved compliance with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) while supporting the functional and operational requirements of a modern educational and wellness facility.
